The Wave Hotel is a four star hotel located amidst the nonstop hustle and bustle of trendy Ocean Drive. The hotel was built in 1941 and was originally called The Lord Balfour, named in honor of the British Prime Minister who authored the Balfour Declaration which established Palestine as a home for the Jews. The original hotel sign hangs beside the new white and blue neon sign in order to pay tribute to the history of the Room at the Wave Hotel

building. Over 60 years later and after extensive renovations, the Wave Hotel is considered a testament to the famed Art Deco-style.

The beautifully manicured courtyard and terrace that overlooks Ocean Drive is the ideal spot to people watch. This area of the hotel, as well as the renovated Art Deco lobby, has been the scene of many fashion shoots. Visitors may catch a glimpse of some of today's hottest faces that are gracing magazine covers. The Wave Hotel is conveniently located near all of Miami's most popular attractions including the ultra-hip shops on Lincoln Road, phenomenal dining and out-of-this-world galleries and museums.

Tranquil Living at the Wave

The Wave Hotel houses 66 rooms, two of which are suites, 39 king bedded rooms and 25 rooms with two full sized beds. The furniture is comfortable while at the same time lavish. Designed in Italy, the custom designed furniture enhances the Art Deco Courtyard at the Wave Hotel

ambiance. The walls are painted in soothing earth tones. All rooms also feature a Wave Machine. This machine provides guests with six soothing sounds such as rain falling or waves gently crashing against the shore in order to lull sleepers into a tranquil slumber. The extremely professional staff wants all of their guests to enjoy maximum comfort in a laid back environment.

In addition to a plush and relaxing living environment, the Wave Hotel offers it's guests some of Miami's most excellent amenities. All guestrooms feature an excellent entertainment center that includes a remote controlled satellite TV and a Fisher CD stereo system. The lamps are all touch sensitive and all doors lock electronically. Valuables may be stored in the in-room safe. The telephones are modem compatible for laptops and feature voicemail. Plush bathrobes and a hairdryer await travelers in the private Room at the Wave Hotel bathrooms. All rooms are individually climate controlled. Handicap accessible rooms are also available upon request. Other amenities include iron, ironing board, mini-refrigerator and mini-bar. Children under 12 stay at the Wave Hotel for free.

The Wave Restaurant Bar and Caf?

The hotel is also home to the Wave Restaurant Bar & Caf?. The restaurant prides itself on serving authentic Italian cuisine that is prepared from the freshest ingredients and is open daily from 8am until midnight. This is also a great casual spot to enjoy a refreshing cocktail after a day of shopping or tanning in the sun. Although the Wave Hotel does not have a pool, they are located directly across the street from one of the world's most beautiful natural pools, the Atlantic Ocean.
